What do you think are the best D Line stations regarding functionality, aesthetics, and structure?
The D Line is generally consistent with regards to its stations, but there are definitely some standouts along the line. First, in terms of functionality at least, Riverside is top-notch, with lots of amenities, shelter, and even fare gates (the 5/10 I gave it way back when seems awfully low). Also, Newton Center and Newton Highlands are noteworthy for having some lovely old station buildings. And beyond that…well, most of the other stations just have “that classic D Line charm,” as I like to call it. There really aren’t any bad stations on the D, although a few like Fenway or Reservoir are lacking in the aesthetics department.
