Utterly unrelated but I thought you might find this really interesting. I believe it’s meant to be an internal MTA site but it’s totally open to the public. Contains a live map of every train’s specific location, down to the second, as well as passenger loads, station countdown clocks, and a bunch of other neat features. Metro-North/LIRR. Super cool to watch this during rush hour and see people packing the trains for Islanders/Yankee games, which trains are crowded, train lengths, and so on.
