A bonus feature of this fun video is that some of these small, midwestern downtowns look like really nice, fun places to visit. (In the daytime!)
The tracks in streets of Marietta OH is remains of an interurban that ran from there to Parkersburg WV that was abandoned in 1947. Company was part of Monongahela West Penn system according to ‘Interurban Railway in America’ . Tracks been waiting there a long time.
You can also cross the Muskingum river there on an old B&O swing bridge that has a pedestrian path attached to it. Interesting town.
Great trip, so sad the streamline style Greyhound station in Cleveland is closing, I caught bus there a lot…35 or more years ago.
