Finally managed to get the other video from March edited! With the semester over, I’m hoping I can be more prolific over the next month or so, both in terms of print posts and maybe videos too. Enjoy this trip down to the southernmost point in the US with a very special guest!
VIDEO: What’s the Cheapest Way to Key West? (feat. my dad!)

Yes, more video content!
Any chance of a “Cheapest way from Boston to New York City” video over the summer? Assuming COVID restrictions have faded into the history books by then, of course!
I did the math once and found the cheapest way from New York to Boston. It takes 8 hours…
Well, the problem is that the cheapest way is booking a Greyhound in advance that only costs, like, 12 bucks. Because of COVID, it’s all $26 right now, but even then, that’s still cheaper than going by local transit. I think I’d just have to frame the video differently if I went local between Boston and New York, which is definitely possible!
Going local between Boston and NYC usually also means either going out of the way (via Fitchburg/Garner/Orange/Greenfield and down) or doing a fish-in-the-barrel route involving the RIPTA 95X and walking to Connecticut to catch SEAT to get Shore Line East in New London. It’s been done but one wrong move and it could backfire.
Also, those coaches on the MDT 301 are ex-GO Transit (Ontario). The Metrolinx paint scheme and the second language on the emergency exit signs being French and not Spanish are big giveaways
Ooh, those 2 possible routes presents a fun opportunity for a video! Maybe Miles and Nathan and a few other friends can race each other from Boston to New York, with one going via Fitchburg and Greenfield and the other going via Providence and New London, much like The Great Race to Chelsea video!
Yea your right, when I thought of it, it was really just doing all local routes. ANd it still was more expensive than greyhound (40ish$)
Miles I think a few days ago the new red line trains came out? I understand if you can’t do a post on them, though.
Hey I would love to see a spring 2021 service changes!
The schedules don’t seem to be up yet, but hopefully when they do get up!
